Who is responsible for your information?

LB Electrical Contracting Limited (company number 16365060), trading through LB Renewables, is responsible for personal information used to handle solar and battery enquiries. Our registered office is Unit 29 Highcroft Industrial Estate, Enterprise Road, Horndean, Waterlooville, PO8 0BT.

Information in a quote enquiry

The quote form asks for your name, email address and phone number, plus information about the property and your enquiry: address and postcode, property type, roof type and material, approximate build date, number of bedrooms, weekday occupancy, ownership status, system interest and possible installation timing. The address is entered manually; the form does not use a postcode lookup.

When you select “Send my quote request,” the details are sent to our website server and emailed to LB Electrical. The website does not save quote details in a database. The web host and email providers process the information to deliver the enquiry; email systems may retain the message under their own privacy terms.

We use information you send to respond to you, understand the requested work and prepare or follow up a quote. The lawful basis is taking steps at your request before entering a contract, or our legitimate interests in responding to a business enquiry.

How we use and share information

If you proceed with work, relevant contact, property and job details may be used to arrange and deliver the work, maintain records, provide certification and handle warranty or service matters. We may also use relevant information to meet legal obligations or establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

Information is available only to people who need it for these purposes. Email, IT or hosting providers may process information to deliver their services. We may share relevant details with certification bodies, professional advisers, insurers or public authorities where necessary. We do not sell your personal information, and sending an enquiry does not sign you up for marketing.

Website data and cookies

This page does not use analytics or advertising trackers or save quote details in browser storage. The website hosting provider may process basic technical access logs, such as IP address, request time and browser information, to deliver and protect the site. Your browser may independently store form autofill information.

If you follow a link to another website, that website’s own privacy information applies.

How long we keep information

The website application does not retain quote details after sending them. We keep the resulting email and related correspondence for as long as needed to respond, assess or follow up the requested work. If work proceeds, relevant details may become part of the job record and be kept as needed for accounting, certification, warranty, legal and dispute-resolution purposes. Information is deleted or anonymised when it is no longer needed for those purposes.

Storage and transfers

Information in an enquiry email is handled through the email services used by you and by our business. Depending on the providers and their configuration, information may be processed outside the UK. Where UK data protection law requires safeguards for an international transfer, appropriate safeguards must be used. Contact us for details relevant to your enquiry.

Your data protection rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may have the right to request access to, correction or deletion of your personal information, or restriction or transfer of its use. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where processing is based on consent, you can withdraw that consent. These rights are subject to legal conditions and exemptions.
